Average FLI: Average FLI shows the average Frozen Ledger Index per counted season, helping shorter and longer franchise histories be compared in context.

Season FLI: Season FLI measures the strength of one specific season in the Frozen Ledger framework, rather than the full franchise record.

Best Season: Best Season is the single season in the tracked franchise history with the highest Frozen Ledger Index score.

All-Time Rank: All-Time Rank shows where a franchise currently sits in the all-time Frozen Ledger rankings relative to the other tracked NHL franchises.

Playoff Rate: Playoff Rate shows how often a franchise reached the postseason across its counted seasons.

Rank Change: Rank Change describes how a franchise’s ranking position moved relative to a prior generated ranking view when that comparison is available.

Competition / era terms

Era FLI: Era FLI is the cumulative Frozen Ledger Index for the currently selected era or location scope, rather than the franchise’s full cumulative total.

Original Six: Original Six refers to Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Montreal, the New York Rangers, and Toronto in the pre-1967 expansion context.

Expansion-Era Franchise: Expansion-era franchise refers to teams that joined the NHL in or after the 1967 expansion wave, excluding the Original Six.

Franchise history terms

Franchise Lineage: Franchise lineage is the continuous history Frozen Ledger keeps connected when a franchise relocates or changes identity without the franchise record ending.
